Kid's Catapult Workshop

  • SBWI Kids' Corner 1375 N. Main St Adrian, MI, 49221 United States (map)

Bring the kiddos and make wooden catapults! This workshop is open to kids 11 years and up and ages 3-10 with adult supervision. We supply the materials and instruction for kids to build their own wooden catapult. After your project is complete, test it out at our marshmallow firing range!

Even the simplest of projects can aid in childhood development and foster a lifelong interest in the craft of woodworking. The benefits of youth woodworking include:

  • Practicing perseverance and patience

  • Learning focus

  • Development of fine and gross motor skills and dexterity

  • Development of hand-eye coordination

  • Increased mathematical thinking, engineering skills and creativity

  • Practice in problem solving

  • Stress relief

  • Increase of self-confidence and independence

  • A tangible and intangible connection to nature

Each catapult session will have enough supplies for 100 kids. First come, first serve.
