5 Lakes Wood Co LLC’s Len Perotta hails from Allen Park, MI, where he has lived the vast majority of his life. With his sons becoming adults, and a medical retirement, Len found some time to pursue his lifelong dream of being a full-time woodworker. While he loves building cutting boards, furniture, wine racks and the like, he has found his true passion expressing his artistic side by creating battlefield flags, wavy flags and unique art pieces. Len’s flags are a fan favorite! Each is uniquely hand-carved, right down to the individually carved stars, and finished with great care. 5 Lakes Wood Co LLC creations can be found in galleries and boutiques from Trenton to Brighton, St. Claire Shores to Milan. Len will be demonstrating the process he uses to carve the very distinct battlefield flags throughout the festival.
